we'll see about that. kiseijuu sets a high bar with the way it simultaneously shows the relentless rejection the protagonist faces from his environment yet how fragile he and everyone around him still are. how the axe is left on the old lady’s doorstep after he’s done with it. how hirokawa is clearly autistic so he goes goblin mode. kana is one of my favorite female characters ever and I don't like female characters often. it's enough to put iwaaki on my list of favorite authors, so i'm excited for historie.

Kokou no Hito is on his grid as well. I just don't see how Gon is good when it's mostly the same repetitive gag over and over, and while the art is high effort, it's not consistent in quality and the paneling is kinda mediocre if not occasionally downright bad. I'd be willing to discuss why kokou no hito and shamo are among my favorites if you really care, because I have A LOT to say about them, as with everything else on my list, but I doubt you do.
