Also the series really wants you to forget that Sasuke tried to murder both Naruto and Sakura at the start of Shippuden. The series later tried to make it seem like he was still a somewhat good guy before finding out about Itachi's past because he refused to kill the random shinobi that Orochimaru threw at him, but he was still completely fine with killing his former teammates just because they wanted him to return home. That really does make Naruto seem a lot more retarded when he's thinking about Sasuke during the 5 Kage Summit and going "uwu Sasuke I wonder if you still think about us sometimes" or when he had a heart attack because of him.
