Why did you lie to yourself in the first place? The only nitpick I personally have is the timeskip that the mangaka was forced to add, it would have been better if Aoki had hooked up with Rin when she was still a kid, but I understand why they did it. It's likely that big brother would have gotten involved if the manga had unapologetically displayed an underage girl in a happy relationship with an adult. It is what it is.

My biggest problem with it is that it ends where it does/ It's a fine ending that wraps up mostly everything, but god dammit I want to see them dating. Or more than just 1 chapter of the girls in high school. There's absolutely fallout that could be explored if the story needs drama, but I just want to see the cute couple doing cute things for a little bit.
And unfortunately no doujin or piece of art I've ever seen even bothers to depict them end of series. Hell, most don't seem to go beyond the anime and keep it in 3-4 grade.

I agree it's a bullshit excuse, but I doubt the author would have gotten a green light from the publisher without making Rin an adult. She looks literally identical to her younger self though so I consider it a reasonable compromise.

I disagree. What I believe is the best course of action overall is to spoil yourself the story intentionally. This is because of three main reasons. One, you get to drop manga you know you'll hate before investing, e.g. romance manga that includes cheating/NTR/rape. Two, if you do decide to pick up the story, you'll then enjoy it more because you know what's going to happen (look it up, people who have had the story spoiled enjoy the story more). Three, you no longer have to worry about spoilers, intentional or accidental, and can browse the net without worry.

Nah, I think the issue is that Watashiya was deadset on that ending and was forced to have a timeskip. A timeskip ending would have worked fine if Rin actually grew up, but having a timeskip AND Rin still looking like a kid is the worst of both worlds.

Of course she was deadset on that ending, as she should be. The main pair from the beginning was obviously Rin and Aoki, so it's only appropriate that they end up in a relationship.

The timeskip was necessary because of legal reasons or insistence of the publisher, and what we got was the best possible ending. In fact you could argue that it's even better than young Rin being dicked by Aoki, for the fact that there's now a high in universe chance that she has some kind of a condition that prevents her from aging physically. Imagine if you were dating a loli that never aged a day physically.
