I don't want him to rush the art. Redline is shaping to the best Fate spinoff.

I like how the servants in Redline are relatively pretty weak and grounded

I don't want him to rush anything either, but goddamn chapters take forever to come out. Reminds me very much of the modern day one that was meant to get an anime, no idea if that one ever came out either. Think the chapters for that crawled to a stop too, or the translations stopped no idea. The tamamo one too. Fate manga are all around fucking weird, at least modern ones.

That's pretty weak relatively. Okita, Izou or Shuwen are all pretty tame close-range fighters with limited destructive output, and they actually utilize stuff like the environment as advantages because their fights are way more grounded and skill-based
This is the weakest cast of Servants compared to stuff like FSN, FZ, Apocrypha, or Strange Fake

Heroic Spirits aren't just rock-paper-scissors. Pretty much all true heroes are known for overcoming disadvantageous circumstances. You think Sigurd defeated Fafnir by being stronger than it? Most heroes are weaker than dragons, yet they still slay dragons.

Both Siegfried and Sigurd say that them defeating Fafnir is such a miracle that they are not allowed to recall exactly how they did it to avoid clashing against the uncertainty and ambiguity of the event.
For Nobu vs Kagetora's case, they are both servants and Nobu is even buffed by multiple versions of her combining together.
That alone makes her a gigantic fraud like Gojo really.

It's canceled out because in life, Kagetora managed to defeat Nobu multiple times. Also, you shouldn't assume that Nobu's anti-divinity guarantees victory against divinity. All anti- traits do is raise the odds in your favor, but when it comes to heroes, nothing is ever 100%.

They didn't. Yes, Servats have weaknesses, but in Fate, rock doesn't always beat scissors. Rock has a 90% chance at victory against scissors, but scissors can still turn things around.

Well yeah, because there is the whole "human" aspect or whatever you wanna call it, also luck and what else have you. But in the end Saber still beats Archer and shit like that. In an RTS it's teh same, but a skilled player can still outplay a bunch of Knights with skillful usage of Archer.

Skill and cleverness is only part of it. A lot of the efficacy of Servants come purely from sheer will, the will to defy destiny. Even the shrewdest tactician can have all of their plans completely uprooted due to an overly willful idiot.

You're overthinking all of this, when my initial post was partly a bit of a joke because of how things were kinda meant to work under the hood, or at least how they were portrayed in the VN if I remember. Think pkmn and how water is super effective against fire. Fire can still win, but it's unlikely to depending on the attacks that are being used.
I'm not disagreeing with you, just so you know, just that the conversion is going into the wrong direction.

Everything about Servants makes sense once you remember that Heroic Spirits are the embodiments of plot armor by definition. Most "heroes" that became famous did so by doing something miraculous or outright impossible. I mean that's literally what Heracles was all about, performing twelve deeds, all of which were considered completely impossible. Heracles isn't stronger than the Hydra. In terms of raw stats, the Hydra would have been superior in every way. But Heracles still won. He persevered. You don't become a hero by achieving something that's clearly within the scope of your abilities. You become a hero by going above and beyond expectations. This is why Servant fights are often complete bullshit. Plothax is a tale as old as time. Asspulls have been a part of human storytelling since the days of antiquity. Yet no one ever looks at the story where Cu Chulainn 1v1'd an entire army and goes "That's bullshit, fuck you, this writing is ass."
