>>279624608I was reading the series as I was dumping (kinda, some days mainly dumped and then caught up later) and I enjoyed the first third quite a lot. The duo protagonist idea, from the differing tones in each and as they slowly started to intertwine. But, after the flashbacks arcs really started ramping up, and then parts like the village arc made me start losing interest a bit as the pace slowed down. But, I still enjoyed a lot of small parts from these arcs, and reading dumps as other anons root for smaller characters or other details made it more fun.
But, when I was reading the final volume to prep for the dump, and seeing the curtain call
>>279624234 pages, something kinda clicked with me. I felt more warm and fuzzy than I expected when I was reading this series, and made me realize, I resonated with this weird story more than I expected. I think I see the vision Fujita had in mind, and I'll cherish it for that.
