It's a little tricky since a lot anime that have comedy elements like Demon Slayer end in these lists so you need to mentally filter out some shows that aren't 'comedy enough', but from skimming lists of comedy anime romcoms seem to be the largest comedy based formular.
CGDCT is popular but mixed central casts covers a lot of flavours of comedy.
