>I like him because he saved me
Do you like this timeless trope?

lol I completely forgot to watch this episode yesterday
I could not care about how this arc concludes any less
wasn't the appeal of this series that it had a bunch of little episodic mysteries where a stolen bike and a dry sink were treated with equal autism?

Since the vast majority of these stories do not attempt to be a replica of reality, rewarding the hero with a cute girl serves to add an inspiring ideal to the story. "If you do good things you might be rewarded" is plain, but still uplifting, and I prefer that over a severely dumbed down approach to stoicism or, even worse, salaryman cuckoldry. There is a time and a place for each type of story.

There's only like 4 episodic episodes in a 22 episode series, so no

Disregarding the second season which adapted a two-volume arc in seven episodes that I hated most of and then this current arc that either ended yesterday or is ongoing I don't know, and the show is certainly smaller in scope than what it became even if some of the mysteries resolved in two episodes rather than one

Can personally attest that in the oddly-specific scenario that you do rescue a woman from certain death you are allowed to do ecchi stuff and touch the booba. I would not go about trying to replicate this scenario for several reasons, but it's not a trope.

I kinda like it, but these kids somehow made 9001 mortal enemies during middle school. I want more hot chocolate.

You have to consider what it means for Kobato to save someone. He's a guy who throughout the series considered himself to be abnormal, lacking empathy and would never see himself saving anyone in exchange for his own well being.
It shows how important and dear Osanai is to him. And Osanai is someone who understands Kobato the best, so she does know the significance of his actions.

It's funny how it happened
>We are together because it's mutually beneficial and nothing else.
>Separate because Jogoro realized she used him for revenge and called her a liar
>Date another guy
>Can't stop comparing him to Jogoro
>Says he is a stopgap until she meets someone better
>Dude sacrifices himself for her
>Wait...
>I like this guy more than my desserts!

That's just growing up, this whole arc had a nice contrast between current and past Kobato. It's quite ironic that they became shoushimin in a way by being together.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't what happened that the guy intentionally created the dangerous situation she was in so that he could rescue her and then get close to her, but once she realised he was a prick she left in that scene there?

yes. that's why I dropped S2.
I DON'T CARE ABOUT URINO and any of this arson grand plot. give me funny episodic shit like Kengo's cocoa
Anonymous No.279716164 [Report]
>>279716044
The Urino plot felt so aimless. I understand Jotaro and Osanai falling out and all, especially after que S1 bullshit, so they kinda needed to mend their relationship. But the whole arson arc felt aimless and even unnecessarily cruel by the end.
