Gege went from writing a Naruto clone to trying to make deep, complex powers like Togashi does in HxH. He can't write like Togashi and is an idiot that admitted himself he didn't plan out how the powers would work, just making shit up on the spot. The writing dropped off a cliff when he tried to punch above his weight-class.

IMO he got burned out and instead of asking for a break he just decided to raw dog the entire thing. He admitted he wasn't giving the manga the importance it had in his final comment to the fans

I watched season 1 a few years ago, liked it, but didn't keep up with it. Finally watched season 2 last weekend, Shibuya was pretty good. Like the huge cast but there are a few guys you just don't give a fuck about like Choso. Surprised how many characters die off already, like I thought geto's underlings were going to be major villains wasn't expecting every single one to get bodied (Was especially surprised because I've seen mahoraga before and thought it was some evolved form of Hanami). Ending was pretty anticlimactic too, like oh the jobber brigade shows up and does nothing then geto casts his thing and fucks off. Idk, was still good I'd probably start reading the manga if the next season wasn't coming out soon anyway. thanks for reading my blog
