tokyo ghoul is genuinely one of the worst and most painfully overrated anime i’ve ever sat through. and no, crying about the "bad adaptation" doesn’t save it. the story is a mess, the pacing is garbage, and the characters are as deep as a puddle. people act like slapping on some edgy visuals and tragic music makes it profound. spoiler: it doesn’t. it’s dogwater manga, anime, all of it. cope harder.
