Meanwhile, Seiichi finally told us his story and how he's been fighting an interplanetary war for nearly five decades, but most importantly, he shed some light on the mysterious entities that are inside, or rather, beyond the paintings in Souboutei, and the true nature of the possessions.

They literally pushed the Invaders to maddened desperation and actually held them off for 45 years when Grandpa intiially estimated that theyd finish him off barely a couple months, if not weeks, after the flight's crew first ended up there. Compare that to the Shirogane who LITERALLY got baited by Faceless and exterminated to the point there were like, less than a handful of pureblood Shirogane left on the planet and maybe slightly more than that if you extended it to people with some modicum of Aqua Vitae in their blood. Heck, they couldn't even fucking wipe out the Automata despite massing a 30k strong army that had been fighting them for centuries at that point.

Compared to the Shirogane, the defenders of Grandpa's Planet ACTUALLY held the line and pushed the big bad into a full retreat because they'd have killed them otherwise. And they did it in less than 100 years.
