How do I motivate myself to watch PSG? I did not care for it in 2010, nor do I care for the sequel but it feels like the entire board is going to watch it and FOMO is kicking in.

I can't understand forcing yourself to watch something you know you're not going to like just because other people are watching it. It's not 2005 anymore, there's a lot more anime being made and the vast majority of it gets subbed right away, and there's still the massive backlog of older anime available for you to sift through, so you might as well take advantage of all that variety instead of making yourself miserable.
It's probably not going to take over the board anyway because nothing does anymore. The userbase is more splintered due to the aforementioned variety and people are generally better at sticking to one thread at a time now instead of flooding the catalog with every brainfart they have.
