No, which will be another impediment to stopping him. Having it be demons dragging the victims off is a clever way of muddying Asura's culpability. With Light it was easier to see it as him personally killing people and simply being a murderer with an unusual weapon. But with Asura, even if the key works the same for everyone, it looks more like he is a vehicle of genuine divine retribution.
