I can’t bring myself to read more Kaiji after finishing One Poker
2.4 Billion Yen escape just doesn’t seem interesting to me from everything I’ve heard and I honestly just wanna reread Minefield Mahjong again..

You can do whatever you want but honestly the Escape arc has some heaters (the camper van guy. You ARE the center of the universe bro, the blowjob brothers at the camp site, Kaiji's mom). People will say Fukumoto's fallen off but honestly even his valleys are higher than most people's peaks

I actually really like the escape arc.
No idea why people are so down on it.

I think if there was some very short-form gambling like Zero people would be more accepting, it's a lot more slice-of-life feeling than the previous parts, which is fine obviously, it's all just a setup for the biggest gamble in the manga but it's making people impatient.

Part 6 has some great peaks, it's just the usual issue with reading FKMT on release schedule, it's never a good idea
