School Days was unique because they took the original VN and adapted the one hidden gag ending among many more conventional ones, which is why the protagonist is so cartoonishly evil - he made literally every wrong choice in a branching storyline. That was definitely the right call, because it made the show far more memorable than it would've been otherwise.

My point was that i believe the series either willingly or not makes a point about sexual education and the lack of it
If you consider the main two characters, makoto and sekai they have several family issues that are shown mostly in the back but if taken into consideration the add fuel into their behaviour
Both come from broken homes without a strong father figure and are mostly raised by single mothers who due to pure economic needs are not present at all in their lives
Its easy to consider how this effects on their behaviour and actions
Maybe im reading too much into it but basically what i was getting at is that the issues in school days or teenage pregnancy and romance drama are very real but many people think this occurring in the series is somehow unrealistic

I think that show, alongside K-ON, made me obsessed with anime in general.

In that time, and even today, I could realize it's trash. Even still, I can enjoy it oh so much. The cute girls, the unnecessary violence and raw emotions with sweet and soft japanese music in the back. Works perfectly in my opinion, and makes for something you can enjoy no matter what.
