Yeah , it is not just that Mirai is wet blanket as MC, but the secondary characters around him also don't pull their weight. The story was ridiculous while Metropoliman and Cancerman were alive but they were both proactive characters and their motives were explored at least. Now even the (in theory) intriguing characters just sit around and don't have that presence in the story. The fact that only one of the agents can see and hear the angels is baffling, it makes all the discussions staggeres and leaves out an important character from it. This new angel of destruction actually sounds like what this story needs to be shaken up and give it new life.

Mirai should have been the protagonist of another kind of story, something like a character study, but he, and the rest of the cast, are only a disservice to the story we're stuck with. Because it can't be THAT hard to make this story enjoyable if you get characters that are interested in being in it
