Whatever happened to the Ranma remake, it's been a year, are they really going to release a second season 2 years later? That's going to kill any interest the series had, it'll adapt less than the original anime

If they were going to skip forward aggressively, there is a lot of stuff they could have skipped in the first 12 episodes.
Tofu disappears pretty quickly. The Golden Pair aren't recurring and could be skipped. Even Kodachi barely matters.
