I liked the case but I don't think it fit the show, what happened to the chef was too horrible and the show ended without giving him any sort of closure, it just ended like always on the same lighthearted tone...

Well, to be fair, what he was about to do to Miyuki was even more horrible. His daughter died in moment of carelessness, this was going to be carefully planned murder.
But yeah, they kind of avoid giving the rich people some comeuppance, in a better story it would be a theme to analyse through future events, but here it's just hand-waved.

Needed more Hosho-kicks but this will do. Enjoyable last episode would watch a 2nd season.

I gotta admit, I was kind of expecting part of the reason why Hosho wanted to be a cop is cause she herself was kidnapped as a child. Imagine my surprise when it was just dognapping, and the guy didn't even get 1 m away when the hot cop knocked him down.

Meh finale to a fun show. I'm gonna miss the cast a lot, part ojyousama part keiji is a fun archtype and the character writing in general was great. The cases themselves were kinda hit and miss which is common in these shows but even the misses weren't painful to watch. Loli Hoshou is too cute.

Yeah I agree. What happened to him is awful but they didn't get to spend any amount of time on it, and while it had some fun action and tension, it sadly didn't have any of the mystery that most of the show had. I suppose they wanted to end it on a big action/thriller one and in that regard I think they did a fine job but it felt odd and bit rushed. Oh well.

Much more beautiful than Hosho.

HanaKana played two detectives this season and both were shit at their job. At least Reiko was funny.

Doubt about it, mystery genre lately seems to be going more for comfy than suspense and drama, which basically kills what makes the mystery fun in first place.
