Nichijou is my favorite anime but I assure you there is zero bias regarding my decision.

pointless to compare the two. nichijou is a surreal slapstick comedy, hidamari sketch is a cgdct iyashikei. i also used to think the characters in hidamari sketch were sentient/aware they were being watched within the anime, particularly miyako. things like that made me like it from a cerebral aspect, but on subsequent rewatches i haven't experienced those feelings as strongly. (after i started medication)

i dont really like nichijou i think it's unfunny

Comfier? Hidamari Sketch by far but that's kind of its whole thing. I prefer Nichijou though.
