Kamome's route was rushed and didn't translate well into the adaptation and there's not much you can do for Tsumugi since her route is trash in the vn aswell.

Kamome having all the important stuff in her route dumped into the last episode is a big issue.
Previous episode was probably the first time I actually had fun since the start. This episode skipped all the banter and their bonding time which made their confessions meh.
Ultimately it all comes down to there only being 4 episodes per route and the nature of the vn is slow to begin with so it doesn't sit well with a fast-paced anime.
I hope that in Shiroha's route they atleast don't skip the waterfight and pool scenes because those are the only moments that make her route worthwhile.
I pity anybody who decided to experience this story for the first time through the anime.
