Hard to make that work for a twelve episode series. You COULD make it work if you mix genre's though. Have it be a romance for instance where the hair stylist stuff is more of an entry-point to the protagonist's personal drama. But if you want pure hair cutting for twelve eps then it'd be a hard sell.
