I've just finished watching season 1 of SpyXFamily and I really enjoyed it. It's now my favourite anime as of now that is. I still have season 2 to watch of course and there is season 3 which I think comes out in October. I'm in love with this show.

First of all, I love all three main characters, Loid is a cool spy and he's my favourite character in the show. Yor is attractive and I really love her relationship with Loid, though it's a shame we don't see her do much assassinating in the show. And Anya is so cute, I believe she will bring Loid and Yor closer. I love the idea of this show too, a spy has to pretend to have a family because his mission involves it and they all become closer as a family while the spy tries to keep his secret hidden as well as his pretend wife and adopted daughter keeping there secrets hidden from each other.

I also love some of the side characters too. Frankie(scruffy head) is funny, Henry is funny and elegant, Becky is cool and so is Damian. Sylvia is incredibly hot though and i wouldn't mind being her footrest. I have mixed feelings on Fiona though as I don't want her to ruin Loids and Yors relationship. Same said for Yuri but if I'm gonna be honest, I don't really like Yuri that much, he's a bit of a creep and it seems like he wants his sister all to himself.

My favourite arc in the show was episode 13, 14 and 15 where a group of terrorists plan on causing a war between the two countries by assassinating a foreign minister using dogs with bombs strapped to them. The leader of the terrorists Keith was a great villain in my opinion because he was so hateble and I enjoyed watching his plan fail. I also loved that arc because in the end, Anya got a dog and he became a new family member. I was at the edge of my seat throughout the entire arc and I genuinely thought Loid was gonna have to shoot one of the dogs only to be surprised when the bullets hit the straps of the harnesses that had the bombs.

I was a bit surprised as part 1 of season 1 had more violence and action but part 2 of season 1 had less of that and more happy slice of life stuff which is still fun but i hope in season 2, we get more action. I was expecting something to happen involving Donovan Desmond in the final few episodes of season 1 but I was surprised that he only showed up for the final episode but I guess the plan will continue in season 2.

Also I really like the setting Ostania and would love to move there. Other things to say, the show makes me wish I had a family which I don't unfortunately and it those make me a little bit sad but there is nothing I can do about it. Still an amazing show and I can't wait to watch season 2 tomorrow.

Anon I admire your enthusiasm but unfortunately people don't come here to say nice things about anime. Have you tried a smug reaction image combined with a condescending remark about people who disagree with you?

Not really, I lost interest after the first few chapters. I just don't care for any of the characters, I can't get into it

Thinking about it more, I actually think this would have been a good series if you just took Anya out of it and had it be just Loid and Yor trying to play the married couple game.
