Has anyone here seen the Anpanman anime or any of the movies that’ve been released? I’m curious because Anpanman is more niche in the West, and I was wondering if anyone on the boards knows about it.

In my Japanese class they had picture books available for us to practice reading simple things in the language, and some of those books were Anpanman. I don't remember her name offhand but I thought the virus girl (the red one in the bottom right OP image) had a really cute design.

If you want to watch anime for toddlers, why not choose Precure? At least Precure has very sexy girls.

That's a kid's show. I went with Doraemon for my JP practice because the Anpan designs looked too dumb for my old self.

Anpanman feels like one of those things you shouldn't watch if you're over 5. It's funny knowing it sells a lot in Asia while people in the west don't know it exists besides the Asian immigrants.

I've only seen two of the movies and they had almost the exact same plot, but if you're looking for an hour of anime history that is super fun provided you know that you're watching a show for toddlers, check out Anpanman: Apple Boy and Everyone’s Hope
