Why did people in America get so butthurt about Naruto being inspired by HxH?

Who cares. Kishimoto is a hack anyways. Samurai 8 flopping pretty much confirmed it.

It's pretty rare for a mangaka to get more than one hit series. Authors like Takahashi or Toriyama aren't the norm, to say nothing of human gods like Tezuka. Most authors are only known for one, singular huge series they poured their life's work into and everything else they make is obscure.

Because Narushit is cancer and Hackmoto ripping off HxH for its success makes it 1000x worse. Kill yourself, Narutard.

My brother just started watching 2011, the first thing he said besides it being the gayest thing he ever watched, was that its basically a less interesting Naruto

Whatโ€™s interesting about Naruto? Land of Waves and the Hunter Exam ripoff were ok but past that itโ€™s just lame retrieval missions and fighting generic villains on repeat for like 300 episodes. Complete chore to watch.

Yeah, despite HxH 2011 looking pretty and being an OK adaptation, it feels kinda gay and also generic. I can see it turning a lot of people away because they think it's just another Shonen. Oh well.

I used to like HxH 2011. But after rewatching Naruto and watching shippuden for the first time made me appreciate HxH even more. It is what Naruto could have been if it didn't lose its way around Sasuke retrieval and never recovered after. Shippuden tried too hard to be a One Piece copy and failed

I find Naruto so bland and boring as a whole, it's not completely awful (aside from Sasuke and everything related to him), but goddamn is it unremarkable.

I see more Harry Potter in this shit than I do HxH. The main villain in part 1 is literally Voldmore.

People underestimate how garbage Shippuden was. But to me the dip started in the Sasuke retrieval arc. So much time wasted over a predictable outcome.

Did people actually get butthurt or was it just your standard people on the internet loving to argue about everything?
Also Naruto was as influenced by Ushio & Tora as it was HxH if not moreso, shame it doesn't get mentioned as much

Kishi has always been a better artist than writer. I wouldn't blame him for Naruto's weekly serialization burning him out of drawing manga forever, but he probably shouldn't write any more manga as the sole writer either.
