Talk no jutsu in particular feels really contrived in Shippuden. In part 1, Naruto only used it after the villains were already defeated, like Zabuza and Gaara, but in part 2 it is straight up a plot device, considering how it makes Nagato revive everyone he's killed and makes Obito switch sides in the middle of the war.
There's also other stuff like retconning Gaara's parents and uncle and saying they actually loved him along, or having Sasuke's parents be ok with Itachi killing them and even saying they're proud of him.

Problem is that because Sasuke's was Naruto's rival and had to at least keep up with him for the duration of the manga, it meant he needed powerups that would rival the fucking Nine-Tails, introduced as a demigod of destruction. Then Madara was introduced as this big bad fucker who fought Hashirama, so Hashirama, being his rival, had to be beefed up to be stronger than him, thus destroying the theme that the new gen always surpasses the old.

The Byakugan could've gotten some cool upgrades. Rotation armor (like a mini-Susano'o), chakra point sniping (highly compressed version of the vacuum palm), the ability of the gentle fist to eat through Susano'o (gentle fist is established as being able to destroy chakra-based objects), visual genjutsu immunity like the Sharingan (no reason it shouldn't have this), showing off whatever Twin Lion Fists actually does (databook (I know) says it drains chakra on contact) - there are ways to improve it without inventing abilities whole cloth like Kishi did with the Sharingan.

The byakugan is further up, it allows user to see in 360 degrees, see at great distances, press the chakra points to disable them either permanently or temporary, allows user to have perfect defense and attack, and there are a few more shown.
It could also do susanoo, izanagi/izanami without cost, any sharingan/rinnegan jutsu and so on sadly not discovered and users won't learn it and have 10 to 20 times more chakra then regular clans.
This is why they are said the stronger because they can be the stronger if learned the truth of byakugan.
You will know this if you read the manga, kakashi even goes how the sharingan and consequently rinnegan are degraded versions of the byakugan.
Remember what eyes had kaguya? It wasn't rinnegan it was byakugan and could do the same sharingan/rinnegan users could do.

Byakugan is stronger than the Sharingan. Without the Hyuuga clan, the Uchiha probably would have been able to overthrow Konoha long before Danzo considered exterminating them.
The problem lies in Kishimoto abusing Mangekyou Sharingan and not know what to use to beat it so he just made up the Rinnegan.
Kishimoto's an amazing fight coordinator but he's a lot like Araki in the sense that he just makes shit up as he goes along. He never properly plans any of the powerups or progression.

I was reading the thread and think about it, and realize if you give literally any other character Byakugan power, they would make it the most busted thing ever. Kishimoto was simply not smart enough to find ways to use it, how the fuck could you make omnidirectional vision and literal one-shot technique useless?

The proper way to deal with Uchiha is to fuck them. Make love, not war. Make babies, not battles. The evil Uchiha are the ones who failed to receive proper sexual intercourse. Madara failed to get Hashirama's wood. Obito failed to get Rin. In all those cases, the absence of sex is what caused it. The proper way is to dick the Uchiha so they would happily accept your dominance as they give birth to your kids. Tobirama admits that they are a clan of love, they just react equally negatively if spurred or tragedy occurs. Thus, the correct way is to constantly show them love and endlessly dick them into submission.
