Not much. They did skip a scene at the summer house where Elletear asks Iska if he knows Joheim (the saint disciple), which makes his appearance at the palace in the raid less bewildering than it was in the anime. The books are good though.

Idk, towards the end? You ought to read it, they're quite short even for LNs. Right after they rescue Sisbell, Rin gets kidnapped by the cat emperor so they have to go rescue *her* next. Sisbell doesn't get back home for ages.
Really like Salinger, is there any list with this kind of characters? Powerful characters that are not affiliated to any group in the series yet they always appear to just rekt shit and fuck with everyone seemingly for the lulz.

What's the emperor's motivation? Isn't the whole thing predicated on mages being minorities and subject to discrimination. But the emperor being a demin-human seems like he would also be a minority. So what gives?
