Seriously, why can't modern writers create a character as based as Onizuka? Not a single MC written after GTO has surpassed him in basedness.

I know there will be some low-IQ retards attending to claim that he's not based because he's a virgin, or that their favorite bland "badass" template character is cooler. The thing is, part of what makes a based character is being an actual fuckin character to begin with. Onizuka has all kinds of weaknesses: he is stupid, perverted, hot-headed, can't get laid and makes huge mistakes all the time. All of these things make up the texture of his character, and make him all the more based when he overcomes them and beats the odds.

This is exactly why garbage like Tatsuya from Mahouka or any of those other shitty power fantasy template MCs will never be in the same league.
