Currently over 100 chapters into this amidst the labyrinth arc. Does the translation ever get better? Characters explain things in the most unnatural manner in paragraphs on top of paragraphs of info dumps that are such a slog to get through. So many characters being introduced and tiny things to keep track of, it’s kind of extremely unfun to read and boring. I like the characters, the vibes, the art, the idea behind the referees and kakero, the gambles. These things are all great but in execution (so far) it’s messy as fuck.

No. The translation preserves the original jp sentence structure, which is faithful and sounds unnatural. It's not like VIZ that rewrites dialogue to be shorter.
