The movie has one very, very good scene with drunk Kurisu, but otherwise isn't very good.

this combined with being a contrarian results in the opposite effect.
by being so unbelievably retarded that no amount of mechanics explaination gets through their thick skull, you get people that are certain that their flawed interpretation is the correct one.

The anime adaptation of zero is basically a true route that the vn doesn't feature. So they aren't really separable and both suck an equal amount.
I would go as far as say that the anime is better because the most cathartic moment of zero is played off better in the anime and it does have an actual ending and a closure.

>>280030887
Reminder that you shouldn't talk with such confidence about something that you have no idea about.
The movie retcons nothing and there is one active worldline at a time, because what worldlines are inherently doesn't allow for things to function otherwise. Different worldlines is the world reconstructing itself each time and there is one world (that you should care about).
What happens in the movie is a completely different phenomenon that you would be aware of if you've read sciadv beyond steins;gate.

the movie came out barely 2 years after the show and is completely consistent with everything else (that is important) in the science adventure series.
which is obvious, because it was written and made by literally the same people that have worked and will have worked on everything else. the movie wasn't made with your headcanons in mind.

it basically does not ignore anything.
it's you who are the most ignorant (and for what purpose? try doing the least bit of research instead).
you lack brain power and wider sciadv series context (which is not uncommon) to better understand the movie and just assume that because the story tries to be emotionally impactful, it HAS to contain plot holes.

Since I have not read all SciAdv VN's, I have to then assume one can handwave all inconsistencies as "magic" or "it was all a dream/not real", and that is just retarded in itself. If it doesn't work with the theories and mechanics established in the S;G VN as it stands on its own with no regard to the rest of the SciAdv series, it's not worth even considering.

as an ignorant person would do, correct.
even worse, when someone tells you that your assumption is incorrect, you, again, for some unexplainable reason, deny the truth with no basis.
>If it doesn't work with the theories and mechanics established in the S;G VN
what makes you think you even understand the whole scope of the "theories and mechanics" of S;G?
explain Suzuha vanishing when Okabe reaches SGWL.

no matter.
a) chaos;head came before either S;G or the movie and what it presents can't be ignored no matter how hard you would want to deny the fact.
b) S;G is only the second entry in series, meaning that it was supposed to introduce new mysteries and hints to solve them and the other ones. S;G VN is by far not the end point of the series.
c) the movie is a piece of side material to the mainline entry that S;G is. it tells something important and has a purpose of expanding upon the worldbuilding. the phenomenon presented in the movie is basically explicitly mentioned then in occultic;nine and anonymous;code, too. it wasn't made up on the spot just for the movie.
the main point is that S;G VN alone does not draw a complete picture of the worldbuilding and it never meant to contain all of the answers.
the main-main point is that what happens in the movie doesn't contradict anything from the S;G VN and you are simply mistaken for assuming so.

Let me reiterate, I don't CARE if you can handwave something like Kurisu time-leaping to herself not on the phone as turning delusion into reality or it was a simulation all along, or even if the scene itself was just storyboarded that way for artistic reasons. The movie is inconsistent with the rules established in the source material it is based on, and that is enough to make it less enjoyable, and considered non canon to the self contained story presented in S;G. The rest of the SciADV is IRRELEVANT to the S;G story, no matter what your god-authors would like you to think.

If it's your first time: watch the original only, then leave it alone for at least a year or two. After that go back and watch them all in the correct order. S;G(1-22), 23ฮฒ, S;G0, S;G(23-25), OVA, movie.

The supplementary stuff is great for fans especially in the (chronological?) order, but getting the original experience from the main series is most important.

Your mistake was watching Zero. The VN is good, the anime outside a few episodes is shit. This is mainly because they decided to mix multiple VN routes instead of sticking to the 2 major routes. I still think they should have just dropped a Gehenna route adaptation on us for the first 13 episodes.

Watching S;G0 in a block and then not following it with the ending of the original that it is building towards would just be depressing.

I wouldn't call him schizophrenic, but he is delusional. Most of the "main" SciADV entries are good so long as you read the Elite versions of R;N and C;H. R;N DaSH sucked, A;C was ok but too fucking short, and I've heard bad things about O;9 but its not translated so hopefully it will get an Elite version and translation soonโ„ข.

Sadly, Takuji is one-of-a-kind.

don't know what you have heard, but o;n is good, only unfinished.
the source material (the LN) is translated, but, as I said, is unfinished, lacking the last volume.
the anime adaptation is great, fills the gap and provides an ending.

Yeah, schizo wasn't the right word for Takuji either. Funny how similar Takumi and Takuji's names are.

Thanks, I was looking for that pic. Too bad a Subarashiki Hibi anime will never be made, unless AI video generation becomes somehow perfect, but even then it'd be soulless.

I get it, but the VN is not the source material, so it's odd to refer to it first.
Anyway, what I know is bad about it is that in the VN the story is locked into the perspective of a single character, which doesn't make sense, because there are 9 main characters.

Yes I'm the guy kek
By the way, it ruined it way less for me than I thought. I obviously got spoilered a fair bit, specifically these things:
>multiple timelines, alpha/beta
>le ww3 and the girl being hackermans daughter
>moeka and the landlord working for the rounders
>the choice being kristina or mayuri
But most of these were revealed pretty early on or were immediately obvious.
And the ending still pleasantly surprised me, because I unironically thought it's gonna be one of those "le bittersweet depressing resolution" shows because my impression was that sg0 is a literal sequel. The plot twist of him being responsible for kurisus death also caught me off guard even though it should've been obvious.
So overall, yeah the show is pretty kino. Won't keep watching sg0 tho kek

Cont.
I guess the most ruined plot twist for me was mayuris first death, to me it was more of a question as to how since I knew she's gonna die. Could've been much more shocking obviously if I didn't know that
