just read a story synopsis and saw some clips on youtube, the plot sounds very confusing. Is it just people dying in kinda disturbing ways porn or is there more to this?

10/10 episode, made the show worth watching, too bad the movie was an absolute bore with no merit.

Soโ€ฆ.what the FUCK were the Elder Bains? I get theyโ€™re Lovecraftian entities, but what kind? Ancient aliens? Beings from other dimensions which sometimes intersect with ours? Servants of Great Old Ones? Why do they even care to eat humans (besides horror schlock)? Why do they care about / honor that old blood pact or whatever it was?

... and I looked briefly at this, which was one of the results on Google:

Spoilers, naturally.

Obviously I'm missing shitloads of buildup and foundation here by jumping straight to the end, but man, this plot sounds very far out and cerebral. Actually rather compelling with the whole unreal town-sized charade thing and all. Not sure if I would have felt the same way if I'd actually watch this from start to finish without spoiling myself like this, if this was never hinted at before, I might feel 'betrayed' in a sense.
"""Watching""" a show in this manner is obviously the shittiest way imaginable, but I feel like I'll have to make a mental note that sitting down and watching Blood-C properly is something I should maybe do some day.

The bunnies themselves are not a bad concept for a horror monster, and the overall downer kind of ending is interesting, though some of the bunny kills look a little goofy at times.
This aired in 2011, by which time I'd have been, uh, 20, or so, I doubt it would have 'traumatized' me at all, but this sounds like an interesting series which would have stuck with me.

Judging by that AI synopsis, it sounds like this was something which had a lot of story and character buildup to it intended for this payoff. It seems like a cool plot for a weird and nihilistic horror story.

The entire episode is really cathartic after watching Saya being Truman Show'd the whole series. All of them deserved it, and it retroactively made Saya unintentionally neglecting the people she was meant to save a good thing.

The sequel movie unfortunately sucked. Way worse visual direction, and directing in general, and it failed to capitalize on the build up and madness of the TV series.

It almost feels like a precursor of Psycho Pass just from the visual standpoint
