This is my first time, after someone else dumped 45 and got me into the series. And there's only been like 3 threads total before this, which is just crazy for such a nice little manga. If next chapter's good too, I may just keep it up.

I have so many legal questions about this. She just announced an intent to murder some guildmates in front of two clerks, plus she's picking a fight with the church, which should be a major deal if her witch status gets out.

<-- It's also kinda funny that it took years of dead-end work for this guy to go postal, whereas Siasha is losing it after like a week. I'm kinda curious if it's a witch thing, or just her. Some interesting story possibilities from this confrontation.

Nobody takes her 100% seriously except Zig since he knows she's a real witch (which on the other continent they actually understand as a different species). Also witches aside from being inhuman in general go yandere over whoever's strong to reproduce, even able to charm though it probably doesn't work on Zig. Zig is probably a race made specifically to kill witches, but at the same time his strength makes him attractive to witches (there will be one witch appearing after the human purist arc finishes).

No op, but pretty clunky. move to new city, do well on adv quests, native adventures get jealous, tries to sabotage, misunderstanding. As far as storytelling goes not much different than those banished from party stories.

It's honestly just darker isekai guild/mafia shit but instead of another world it's another continent. Honestly it's a pretty mid series (not the worst use of your time but don't expect anything amazing).

Really disappointing on that front. At the start I was really on board with the initial premise of protecting a witch in a world where magic was rare and frightening. Then that got chucked out the window after the introduction when they just sailed away to another continent and left it all that behind. Then I thought the idea of exploring a strange, new land with a sheltered mage and a grizzled warrior would be interesting. But no, turns out the place is well inhabited with a generic high fantasy civilization complete with elves, an adventurer guild, magic shops, etc. and the main characters just start doing really standard adventure guild stuff with a bit of faction/racial conflict mixed in.
The only reason I still check up on it from time to time is because the witch is perfection and I legitimately like her dynamic with Zig. I sincerely wish I could transplant the main couple into a different story. Or I could live in the timeline where they never got on the boat.

It's only like GS in that it's a down-to-earth tone with a highly competent MC who's socially inept, except GS is rampantly autistic where Zig is just extremely professional.
I actually like how Zig is so professional so as to come off as a complete psychopath. Like even the mafia that's used to dealing with murder are getting turned off by how Zig can just deal with all the freaky shit because he's dealt with worse. I want to see some of the upstanding people he interacts with learn he killed his buddy like it was nothing.

I think the bigger problem is the two of them kind of exist in a void from the rest of the characters. Most of the interactions with her are off page or confined to being with Zig. I think this was the first time another adventurer was really on the receiving end of her actual magic instead of just some glaring.

Depends on what you mean by evil, but she's pretty psychotic in a yandere way towards Zig and does kill a lot of people, mostly in self defense or in defense of Zig. But she does genuinely want to kill more people though and Zig keeps her on a leash most of the time.
Despite how good the premise is, the guild and even most mafia/cult/politics shit is done insanely boring IMO. Like >>280108735 said nice initial premise/characters but the rest of the world is shit. Most situations I feel like are from people being obnoxiously stupid. I think the only other interesting part was the witches fighting over Zig. Dark elf mafia/adventurer girl is also cute even though she starts off obnoxiously stupid also (and the dark elf killers are ok). Also ended up appreciating the blindfold girl once her power is revealed.
