I’m watching this for the first time (I'm near the end of season 1). What bugs me is how much of each episode is taken up by the recaps… recap before the intro, recap after the intro, recap at the end of each episode, the actual episodes end up being weirdly short.

Also, I don’t like this pouty face they keep doing.

It’s still fun to watch though. Solid 6.5/10 so far IMHO.

S1 pacing is just horrid.
Though some anons might say otherwise, mostly anime-onlys.
S2-onwards follows the manga pacing perfectly.
Also S1 ep 49-63 is a filler arc, if i remember correctly. It will have about 0% relevance after that arc. Just skip it.

The great thing about Toei is that they pretty much included everything in the source material, including volume fixes on later editions and some tidbits on BBF (border briefing file).
You're not missing much, if anything, if you stick to a single medium.
