Iโ€™m rereading the light novels to catch up on the stuff that wasnโ€™t adapted in the anime. Iโ€™m excited to read the new one when it comes out physically. I particularly donโ€™t remember much about Disassociation and Surprise, so Iโ€™ll make sure to knock those out before getting to Theater. Yuki is my wife, and if I could I would marry her like that Japanese guy that married Hatsune Miku.

NTA but the main reason I watched it was because of its cultural significance in the early 2000s. I remember even as a kid when I had little to no interest in anime I would see Haruhi everywhere online. I only watched it for the first time a couple years ago, so without the nostalgia glasses on I can say it was okay, I don't really get what about it made it so popular. I know the novels cover a lot more than what's in the anime though so maybe that's why I don't get what's so great about it. Endless Eight must have been the event of a lifetime for people watching as it aired though. I can only imagine the endless discussion and speculation for months about wtf was going on.
