I fucking hated cartoons because they had the second trope constantly. The Xmen, TMNT, He-Man, and Mega Man saturday morning cartoons had useless "realistic" women and it didn't make fiction better at all. It just made it fucking annoying to watch because they wasted screen time fucking up basic shit for an old right-wing ritual.

Anime is infinitely refreshing their women are badass. It never gets old regardless of whatever context you put them in. Additionally, it made scenes extra tense because you didn't want them hurt badly. I loved Zeta Gundam for it.

This is the one that's closer to real "misogyny" in that it sets standards that are impossible for real-world women to meetb (no different from magazine covers that shooped away half a ribcage). At a certain point, you're writing dudes with boobs rather than plausible female characters, and that's innately anti-woman.

But historically, there are plenty of pre-feminism warrior goddesses out there who didn't conform to real world logic. So certain fantasy settings should be given some leeway for OP women, no different from stories with male MCs who regularly defy natural laws.

It's a case by case diagnosis based on the degree of realism in the story.

Both are fine depending on the setting, if it is in a world like Naruto, Bleach or One Piece where magic cancels out sex differences, then you should have more of a situation like 1 although she should still be properly scaled i.e. she should be able to fight should win against people below her level, she shouldn't just be able to beat all men because women strong. But if it is in a world like Berserk, Vagabond, Vinland Saga, Blade of the Immortal, etc which is to say worlds that are basically our world in terms of sex differences, it should be more like 2, woman is strong and can beat lots of jobbers and even wins against some strong named opponents but loses appropriately and has to rely on skill as opposed to strength against most men.
