Mobage anime adaptations often make the mistake of faithfully adapting act 1 including the tutorial missions from the game. Generally the worst content of any mobage is these early throw-away chapters. Those early chapters feature the less popular free characters and not the SSR waifus that came later (the ones that earned the game money).

1. Volume 1 isnt that good. The game didnt have a feeling for its pace yet. Not great adaption material
2. No matter what, sensei is supposed to be the player. It's going to be hard to match expectations.
3. When reading a VN, the human imagination fills in a ton of the gaps on what transpires: from action scenes, small dialogues, and funny moments. Can the anime match your imagination? Probably not.

The most successful gacha adaptions never adapt faithfully if at all. Even then they are still gacha
