This is the thing with this title, it attempts to build continuity by making future events reference things that happened before that seemed unimportant at first which just feels like that that was all dreamt up later. Opposed to say Attack on Titan where the master of foreshadowing raises mysteries in the past and then answers them beautifully in a way that make it obvious it was all planned from where it was first raised which creates a far more intriguing narrative that lures in the reader who wants to know the answers to the great mystery.
A.D. almost never leaves one with a burning desire to know the answer.
