Did anyone here follow the manga at close to when it started publishing?
I remember Murata redrawing the Sea King punch, Atomic Samurai's Atomic slash against that alien three times.
There's also the first version of Boros vs Saitama, where Boros throws a part of his ship and Saitama punches it back at him and it falls on top of him, making him look like a clown, like what happens with Garou's fight later.
This ends up showing that this manga series always had the same problems, being able to redraw as many times as Murata wants, and Murata having a failed understanding on the characters he's working with. It just never got as bad as it did right now.

Zombieman was the only other guy who even has an inkling of this Innsmouth shit, perfectly fitting his supernatural noir detective vibe.
In the manga both of them were practically swept aside. Blast and his Justice League took up Zombieman's apparent future role. Homeless Emperor gets upstaged by every other person given God's abilities and God is actually the entity's name. The eldritch intrigue is lost in favour of some Infinity War shit.
