Just started watching this after finishing GCucks.

What am I in for?
I'm three episodes in and I like it a lot. The story and setting is cool. The idea of people on Mars wanting freedom reminds me of spacenoids and their struggle for freedom.

I do like the pacing more than GQuuuux already. I think my biggest issue with that show is that they tried to do too much in too little of a runtime, and it would have been A LOT better with 24 episodes. Here is hoping IBO doesn't have the same issues.

IBO has its moments. Season 1 by itself is fine. It does a lot of things I enjoy like no beam weaponry until season 2 and the Gundams actually have weight to them.
However the pacing is fucking terrible and it's honestly really poorly written. Miyazaki never clicked for me. I like my Gundam protags super autistic; not devoid of any personality.

I actually really enjoy IBO, but I'm not actually a Gundam fan outside of playing a few games so my opinion ain't worth much.

There is no issue with pacing in IBO. It is not a simple show for simpletons. Arguably, it’s the most “modern” and cinematic Gundam series because it is aimed at adults and not merely a toy commercial unlike most of the franchise. Its plot stands well on its own even when compared to non-mecha series. Any so-called “fan” who hates this is merely upset they didn’t get a toy commercial. That includes any complaint about “pacing”, which is tardbabble from zoomers without an attention span.

if you get to the end of season 1 and you enjoyed it, stop there and imagine season 2 doesn't exist, its not worth it, warned a friend of the same, he still watched it and told me he should've listened, its not about the ending, if youve watched mech stuff ya know shit can go south for characters, its just the execution is so shit, rushed and out of character it just leaves a bad taste in your mouth, but you'd still accept the events if it had been written better

S1 is decent. S2 is stupid but it can be fun if you don't take it seriously at all. Beware of S2 if you got attached to Mackie or Tekkadan during S1, you will be rolling on the ground on how stupid everyone can be

S2 was just badly executed, even when it comes to the Gjallarhorn cast (looking at Julieta here). Zeta didn't have a good ending for its main characters either yet no one complains about it.
