This shit always just feels pointless. Best case scenario is we get a more faithful adaptation of the manga but even at that I don't think it's really an ideal situation. I don't think people quite get how short the manga was. The anime had to actually build up and expand a lot of the stuff in it already and it was honestly the stronger for it. The old anime is still perfectly good. We don't need a remake.

Nobody likes remakes, remakes are a sign of a creatively barren industry.
Why do remakes when you have access to original ideas? Because its the safe route and you lack creativity.
Alot of remakes were done in the late 80s/90s of shows but they were genuine improvements over their original source material so people tolerated them.
These remakes are not improvements, even the advanced tools they use now to animate them do not improve on the original properties like the remakes of the past.
