Not so long ago I rewatched the entire of the og SM series + films and the riped version that I downloaded had the famous/notorious pink tinted visual.
Nowadays is public knowledge that that are not the original colors but just a tape deterioration effect, anyway many people seems to prefer it since for decades was the only avaliable version online (still dont know if anybody made a remaster with the og colors yet)
What other show had that type of color alteration and what version do you prefer?

I watched it when it aired on TV when I was a kid and via VHS rentals from Hollywood Video. It wasn't as pink as the online rip everyone fell in love with. I enjoyed it with the original colors.

Anyway I finally did it. Finished the entire 90s anime. All the 200 eps, all the movies, and the specials.
It stayed good until S. Which is to say, I got at least 120 eps of fun. That's honestly a lot for such a big series, but then it spirals into dragging it out for the sake of, Crystal actually had the best idea by turning Eternal and Cosmos into multipart movies, these just don't deserve an entire season.
Pacing is a little slow at times but that's not too much of an issue since the individual eps all have the 90s whimsy soulful writing. Plus it helps making you more attached to the characters while giving them some additional development, including the heroines, the side characters and the villains. R was especially good at this.
I felt like that for something that wants to stick to the MOTW format instead of spacing out the fights, these weren't particularly good and get repetitive at times, OG, R and S will throw in some decent ones though. SuperS tries to make it funny instead, which is fitting enough they are fighting a literal circus. Stars is just bad all around here.
Glad I could sit through the entire thing, Usagi is indeed one of the best female protags of all time.

>>280328514Forgot to mention I also played Another Story, can recommend if you like JRPGs. It adds a little more cool lore to Dark Kingdom especially, and its own plot isn't that bad at all, oppositio senshis and trying to change the timeline are interesting enough.
The game isn't actually hard nor grindy until the very end, it just wants you to use formations, equipment and prepare resources. That is until Apsu stat checks your ass.
