Are there any boomers on /a/ who read the eclipse as it released? They'd probably have to be japanese since berserk didn't have much of a western audience until the 1997 anime.

I don't think Berserk had any actual fanbase outside of japan and maybe neighboring countries until after the golden age arc was already over so the chances of finding someone who read the eclipse on release are quite low here.

Read it in elementary school when i was 14 in 2001, back then i bought manga and anime on cd-s from 20 year old weebs on the local anime meet at burger king. Daaamn those were the times. Nothing ever topped Berserk since then.
