The Japanese use manga to refer to all comics just like they use anime to refer to all animation. Those terms only got their alternative meanings of specifically Japanese comics and animation due to western usage.

However, if what you're saying is that subbers should retain certain Japanese cultural terms such as onee-san or literature tier shit like Nikubami Honegishimi in their translations, then you might have a bit of a point. Still, posting pepe in this day and age to make retards seethe is a net positive.

Not that anon. To a Japanese person,漫画means comics. The reverse would be a Japanese being mad that "Bitch" isn't translated into ビッチ when it is heard in an English show.
