Is yuribait still a relevant term when most of the shows from the past decade that got called such really did up having some lesbian stuff in the end? And to be honest, you could probably remove like 10 of the Xs. Only a very small amount of people view them that way but I wanted to be thorough/fair.

It was never a relevant term. It's a shitpost used by modern /a/ to pretend what they're watching isn't yuri.

Shamiko's show = definitely yuri
Elaina's show = she only loves herself = not yuri

There are dyke couples in the series itself.

Shamiko became hard for anyone to not call it yuri after the all girl mixer chapter in the manga, though it will never have a conclusion so ultimately it doesn't matter anymore.

>>280390314
Don't be disonest like this because you clearly don't read the series, yes there are characters who show up in specific chapters which are lesbians, but there are also all types of relationships in the series. It's not exactly correct to say Elaina only loves herself because she outright admitted if she was travelling with Saya or Amnesia she would fall in love with them and her will to travel would probably die off but the series is not really trying to connect those dots when both Saya and Amnesia can stay dozens of volumes without interacting with Elaina at all. The most you can say is that there are several girls in the series unambiguously romantically interested in her.

Several of the dyke couples are recurring characters and more than enough have showed up. There's probably more chapters about dyke couples than straight couples at this point. So it's a pretty substantial part of the series.

"Yuribait" is just how yurifags call non yuri series they want to push their garbage into.
Also all the triangles on your pic should be crosses. When yuritards have been screaming two more weeks about a series for a decade and it still isn’t yuri, maybe it’s time to accept they’re wrong.

Find me one instance of the term yuribait being used on a yuri series

Yuribait is more used by non-yurifags than yurifags to deride series they don't like.

>maybe it’s time to accept they’re wrong.
Almost all of those series only confirm the yuri in the last volume.

Actually yes that is what yuri means that’s how it was defined when the term was coined
I agree that yuribait isn’t a thing though. Corporates do not go out of their way to "bait" a demographic as insignificant as yurifags. The author isn’t responsible for your headcanon.

Well for what it’s worth, if yuri was popular you wouldn’t need to spam the catalog with threads about it in order to create engagement with it. Let alone derail regular threads with it (which is the whole purpose of the ("yuribait"/"yuri subtext"/"yuri undertones" bullshit). It’s very obvious you and a small group of people are actively shilling yuri here, you wouldn’t need to do that if it was popular like you claim.

I haven't made any other threads recently. The only other thread up right now about (actual) yuri is the regular yuri thread.

>it’s very obvious you and a small group of people are actively shilling yuri here, you wouldn’t need to do that if it was popular like you claim.
Watanare just recently aired and its threads here were some of the fastest on the board, even beating DB for a time. I haven't even posted in any of them because I'm not a fan of the series.

Is a yuri couple not showing up every 1-3 volumes not proof that the series has a substantial yuri component?
