The first in the new 4th season of this, still rising isekai series!
In the last season's finale, Naofumi's village is under attack by a group of assassins that aimed to take raphtalia's life. After the battle, Naofumi learns that the assassins come from the isolationist country of Q'tenlo, also the homeland of raphtalia's parents.
They fought to eliminate raphtalia, as donning her kimono was seen as a challenge to occupy the throne of said country. Enraged, Naofumi declares war on said country, but to get there, they must first they must pass through the country of Siltvelt, the country of demihumans that worships the shield hero. What sort of challenges and intrigue will Naofumi face in a country that would venerate him as if he were a god?

The plot is almost the same.
The game starts with MC getting isekaied to another world with a legendary weapon.
Trash king treats him like shit.
MC is forced to fight wars.
MC lives with Spirits who are treated as subhumans and they are the only ones the MC can trust.
In one battle, MC got so angry that he unlocked a new power from his sword, but overusing it makes him lose his mind to rage (bad ending).
There are other isekaied heroes with their legendary weapons that has their own evil power up. One of them wasn't able to control her sword and ended up becoming like Itsuki..
One of the mission is to defeat a dragon so they can farm a huge amount of mana (exp equivalent). Near the end is revealed that the dragons you hunt in those missions exist to stop gods from invading their world.
The mana that is released when spirits and dragon dies helps the gods from coming.
Gods are so strong that they can't fully incarnate if the world is too weak, the whole war is a ploy by them in order to incarnate a fragment of themselves.
Incarnated gods defeat the MC, but he survives because he gets sent back to his world together with the main girl. Main girl is curious and surprised about Earth.
MC and main girl decides to return to the isekai to protect their friends.
MC and main girl becomes gods under the guidance of another god.
Its revealed that there are 2 gods factions fighting. One faction wants to devour the worlds in order to return everything to normal (1 single world) and the other faction wants to protect the new worlds.
MC and main girl wins against the world devourer gods kicking them out of the isekai.
MC and main girl joins the world protecting isekai..

Supposedly the souls of the dead during a battle against a guardian beast would power the barrier to block off the waves, but since atla had just died, her soul was able to enter the shield at least before she was taken by the guardian beast.
The barrier with the tortoise lasted a few months with the energy it was able to acquire from killing so many, yet the pheonix only killed so little that it didn't last as long.
