Anime is way more mainstream, but the tens or hundreds of millions that picked it up in recent years only watch the big 1-2 anime every year.

The other Persona games didn't do nearly that well though, especially in the west, even the P3 remaster.
P5 is the outlier. And overall Final Fantasy still applies, it's the only series that keeps selling millions. Just look at how Expedition 33 was recieved. Millions of people acting like it's the first JRPG ever made or the first JRPG with turn based combat in 20 years.
Fromsoftware games might be the only other ones, but even then they only grew in popularity later on or with Elden Ring. And games like Sekiro or Armoed Core are almost ignored by most people since they can't just bruteforce level up or summon friends.
