>>280482468that's kinda the point, the territory is really easy to hold once you have have it, the only entry is one narrow pass in the mountains with a nearly impregnable fort, the area beyond it is a whole self sustaining country, if they can remove all the occupiers then in order to take back any territory the habsburgs have to breach the pass, which is nearly impossible militarily, the rebels were only able to manage it because they had forces on both sides and there were no reinforcements. If they hold the fort and get rid of all the enemies on their side, they can last essentially indefinitely since they only have to defend one approach and can resupply from the other
