The writing is messy and inconsistent, most of the characters are unlikeable and behave like retards, and the art becomes aggressively unpleasant once Oku decides he doesn't want to draw over the 3d models anymore.
Despite all that it's highly entertaining and atmospheric, and I think everyone who cares about manga should read Gantz atleast once.
