Rin-ne is Rumiko Takahashi's return to comedy after Inuyasha. Rin-ne is VIZ's localized title, presumably chosen to assist in pronunciation. The original title is 境界のRINNE (Kyokai/Kyoukai no Rinne) which means Rinne of the Boundary. While it is not a megahit like some of her other huge series, I highly recommend it to fans of Ranma 1/2 and Urusei Yatsura though it is obviously different.

Original title was 一獲千金キノコ狩り. 一獲千金 (ikkakusenkin) can be translated as literally "one win thousand gold", but it normally translated as "get rich quick" or "making a killing". This is different from the term VIZ previously translated as "get rich quick scheme" which was "儲け話".

Well, I looked at my posts that feature the word "Mexico" and she's been there multiple times from what I can tell. Once in the 80s and once in the 90s. I think the pyramid visit was in the 90s. She talks about it a lot. Furinkan even has a few footnotes about it:

"It is difficult to say with certainty when Takahashi went to Mexico for the first time. She mentions Mexico fairly often in the table of content comments that run in the back of each issue of Shonen Sunday. In 1990 she mentioned going to a department store exhibition about Mexico and Mayan culture and then in 1994 she said she would like to climb one of the pyramids in Mexico which she had done by the time of this interview in 1997 (she also mentions having done this by 1996). In 2000 she mentioned having gone to Mexico "about a decade ago". She has continued to speak very fondly of the country in the years since.
