She breaks a lot of the standards they prize.
1. As important, unique, and amazing this first-time sexual intercourse can be for the otaku, it's inherently unimportant and similar for her.
2. An otaku, being the justifiably unpopular man that he is, cannot handle the further relegation of his unpopularity even in the "love" of his life.
3. "Experienced sexual past" is, inescapably, her definition of what sexual intercourse means: she knows what other partners feel like/give her. The otaku cannot inherently cannot understand that. He will fear that, given she's tried and deserted (at best: CONTINUING) other men that HE will just be... another one. Nothing special.
That isn't how he's come to view sex with his partner, but it's a relevant argument against submitting himself to change.
Is it worth it?
He cannot know.
Too many submit and discover..."no."
He doesn't want to learn that.
