I expected it to be another by the numbers MMO-lite fantasy world and was ready to drop it early but it reminds me of watching edgy anime as a teen 15 years ago so I'm in.

I enjoy it so far. We're only 2 episodes it, so it can go either way, but so far so good. I like dark fantasy, it's a nice change of pace from the usual isekai-slop.

It's one of those shows that doesn't really have a gimmick (well, maybe the big bad child rearing is one). It's just really well executed. Writing and characters are above average, the aesthetic is nice, and it's moderately high budget.

Her backstory is sad but she almost dies but Clevatess uses magic to revive her and even "fixes" her appearance by giving her her teeth back and de-aging her several years (though she keeps her massive milkers for plot purposes) and she becomes cheerful and carefree and even seemingly gets smarter out of nowhere even though she was supposed to be stupid as fuck because she was a slave that knew nothing of the outside world. She pretty much becomes an entirely different character and her sad past is never brought up again, so it's easy to disassociate her new form from her old one.

I don't think she was ever meant to be shown as actually stupid (her lack of teeth makes it sound worse than it is when she talks) but rather simple and somewhat ignorant of the world outside of what the other women in the camp have taught her.
If you listen to the words of her story as she tells them, it becomes clear she is a thoughtful individual who has had extended periods of self-reflection.
She knows she's in a horrible situation and even blames herself for some of it, but also is clinging to whatever she can to make it through as a fundamentally good person.

I do agree with that. The sudden change could have been more gradual. It would have made more sense to make some of the changes, particularly to her appearance, after she entered royal employment.
