I started reading World Trigger a year ago, got until the Large Invasion arc, then forgot about it. The recent chapters dump (255 & 256) got me interested into reading it again, especially the part about Katori being tsundere. And after a week, I've finally caught up with all 256 chapters.

This manga is fucking great, I got so hooked that I'm now in the mood of re-reading it again in Japanese since I found out from World Trigger wiki that the English translations by Viz had many small errors (I noticed this too especially in the volume extra where Viz misread Yuki Kaji/Osamu's VA's name as Yuma Kaji). Also I think I caught up at a perfect moment since the Away Mission Exam Phase 1 just ended and it's entering the Phase 2. The monthly wait is going to kill me though, lol. Does Ashihara always release two chapters each month?

I just randomly checked chapter 255&256 dump thread and when I read it I thought Katori is such an interesting and moe character. That's pretty much the main reason why I binge read it lol. But really, the Phase 1 arc was such an amazing arc, I really like Katori squad now. When her squad was first introduced, I thought she and Hana were the only characters that matter. But now I'm rooting for Rokuro too, I can see a bit of foreshadowing of his problem in B-rank Wars, but I never thought that him being placed in the same squad as Hyuse was going to be the highlight of this arc. As with everything trigger-related, it's always a balancing act of how much trion distribution. A Kogetsu is just attack + durability, but a Scorpion adds transformation on top of that, and it'd be pointless to take from attack, so durability is the obvious drain.

Due to the fact that trion bodies make fights "low stakes" along with the point system, you don't know what will happen within a match and that makes it more engaging and, ironically, realistic. Grasshopper is odd on Snipers because it clashes with the usual sniper loadout. Bagworm + Shield on one side, 3 sniper triggers + Shield on the other.
If you put grasshopper on the vacant side, you can only use it when deactivating bagworm which gives away your position. Otherwise, you need to give up one of the sniper triggers or shield, which is a loss in versatility.
